MotoGP: in Austin, two magnificent victories for the Nolan Group riders!
What a weekend, what a result for Alex Rins, his first in MotoGP! A smart ride from him, always in it from the start, and making his move at the perfect time to take the victory! History too for Suzuki, their first win in the USA Alex is really now looking like a top rider in the very highest level of motorcycle racing! Also a solid race for Danilo Petrucci too, racing hard for a 6th place finish!
Great victory in Moto3 too, where Aaron Canet is leader in the standings after a really fierce race. Less fortune in Moto2 however Enea Bastianini finishing up in 9th place for the weekend, not bad, but not his best!
3 week wait now, until Jerez, we wait for you there!
Alex Rins FIRST
“It’s incredible! I’m very happy to win the race here! In warm-up this morning we tried a different set-up and it didn’t work in the way we expected, so we reverted to the usual settings for the race and we won, it’s super! I’m lost for words! I managed the pressure well, even though I suffered a bit in the last laps. When I crossed the line all the feelings hit me at once. I just want to say a big thank you to all my team, everyone in Japan, and all the people around me!”
Danilo Petrucci SIXTH
“Finishing sixth, given all the issues we encountered during practice, can be considered a good result for us here in Texas.”
Enea Bastianini NINTH
“Nice performance! In the free practice I wasn’t very fast, but in the race I made a step staying with the leading group and I recovered positions.”
Aron Canet FIRST
“I feel wonderful! It is great to regain the first position, it’s a great feeling. I tried to push hard, trying to use the rear tire well. In the first part of the race I remained in control more and in the end my strategy was correct and I am very satisfied.”
