Marc Marquez’ 2014 winning streak came to an end at Brno as fellow Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa took the top spot. Marquez once again started from pole position but was overtaken by factory Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo on the first lap. Pedrosa was quick to move in to second place and reel in Lorenzo, before moving into first place and pulling away. Lorenzo was powerless and despite a last lap charge finished second. Valentino Rossi who, after a long battle with Marquez, stood on the third step of the podium. He was able to pull away, however he was unable to catch up with Lorenzo and Pedrosa. Dovizioso took sixth place after a battle with Iannone which went right down to the final lap. Fellow Ducati rider Cal Crutchlow crashed out.
