Superstock 1000 in Magny Cours this weekend saw Xlite pilot Sylvian Barrier secure the championshire for the second year running. Despite finishing in fourth place, behind Jeremy Guarnoni who took his first win of the season, it was still enough for Barrier to win the title with one more race to go. This takes the total number of titles won by Nolan in this championshir to 45.
WSBK rider Melandri had a bad weekend in Magny Cours as setting problems meant he finished 5th and 7th. Badovini had a 9th and 10th while Fabrizio finished 7th in race one but could not finish race two due to problems with his bike.
Next weekends WSBK is in Jerez and is the final race of this years championship.
