Moto GP Motegi

cal-crutchlow-motegi-2012-aThe Motegi Moto GP almost turned into a one-day event after an earthquake, fog and torrential rain meant that all Friday and Saturday morning practices were called off.

Lorenzo’s victory cut his point’s deficit to Marquez – who finished second – to 13 points with 25 up for grabs at the Valencia final.

Spidi pilot Cal Crutchlow was Tech 3 Yamaha’s best finisher in seventh, the Brit recovering from a dismal qualifying that left him 11th on the grid.

Moto 2 – Pol Espagaro – brother of Spidi pilot Aleix Espargaro – became the fourth Moto2™ World Champion. Nakagami at his home race sadly finished 23rd.

Moto 3 – Alex Rins took pole position once again but crashed out after 15 laps! If Rins had won he would have overtaken Salom in championship points! Alex Marquez – brother of MotoGP rider Marc – won his first Moto 3 GP.
