After an exciting battle with Marquez for the podium, Danny Kent narrowly missed out on a podium – however enabled Alex Marquez to secure the championship! Marquez beat Kent to the crucial last podium spot – and took the World Championship crown by two points. The championship triumph for Marquez means that he and older brother Marc Marquez, the MotoGP World Champion, are the first siblings to win World titles in Grand Prix racing.
